Derek Tailer has lived every persons dream who has ever picked up a guitar, to be a rock star.  Having played in the premier thrash metal band in the world Overkill, Derek has seen and done it all.  Traveling around the world playing rhythm guitar professionally for most of his adult life, the pursuit of happiness was found in his balance between his career and his family.  What your going to find out about Derek is that he is not just a Rock Star, but he's a Dad Star.  Derek's son, Derek Jr., was born with cerebral palsy and slight autism leaving him mostly non-verbal.  Never was there a better or more humble man than Derek who is a rock and roll god to adoring fans and a genuine hero to his son.  The balance that Derek exhibits in his life is truly inspiring being at the top of his game professionally while still being the best Dad to his true passion, his son.
