Death Rituals have been part of every culture and every religion since the beginning of time. Some are painstaking and elaborate and others, like lighting a candle and saying a prayer, are quite simple. Some wear black, some cover mirrors in the house when a loved one dies, and tossing a handful of dirt on a coffin is practiced all the time. We talk about several rituals during the show, but have you ever asked yourself if these rituals are to honor those who have gone, or are we doing it to comfort ourselves? Do the deceased know about these rituals we carry out? Do they care? If we are inconsolable and are trying desperately to get in touch with them either with the help of a medium or by calling out to them all the time, does that keep them Earthbound rather than allowing them to cross over? Those questions and more were asked of my guest Psychic Medium Jim Hunt who has been talking with spirits most of his life and is quite familiar with what goes on on the Other Side.
