We are very excited for this episode that has been in the works for a little bit now, Spence and Spangler sit down with Sam (@samandherwatchbox, Stateside Sam from @timeoftheweek and Scottish Watches Live). We have been wanting to chat with Sam to get her unique perspective in this hobby, not only the female point of view, but how she got into collecting at such a young age. We walk through Sam's watch journey, what pieces she has acquired along the way, and get a little bit into what she has her eye on for the future from a collecting and overall life perspective as she approaches college graduation.

Collecting watches on a college student budget can be challenging, however, anyone who follows her on instagram knows she has some pretty awesome pieces in her collection already. We talk about her penchant for bright dialed watches with red, blue, and yellow (or divingstar for the Doxa heads) already in the collection. Blue dials have been her thing since before it was cool, and the Tudor Black Bay in her collection holds special meaning and gets the most wrist time. We also talk about how difficult it can be to choose your watch each morning (especially if you think those watches have feelings...) and how a white silicone strap can go with pretty much any watch.

We also talked about her future plans as a theater major. She has already been going to auditions prior to graduation, and you won't have to learn a new name to find her in any of your favorite TV shows or movies. Her strong personality and sense of self is an attribute that comes through in an instant. We had a great time getting to know this rising star!
