After a few seconds, we all decided it was time for bed. The next morning, we went for breakfast in the restaurant – which was on the floor above the bar and directly over it. I quickly established that the restaurant and the kitchen adjoining it were indeed sited directly above the bar so the noises must have come from there. One of the waitresses saw me looking closely at doors and ceilings, she stopped what she was doing, smiled and said, ‘You’re looking for our poltergeist aren’t you?’ …
