Joel is a former SWAT team member and sniper who was aso a lead firearms instructor and a  a two-time RMEF World Elk Calling Champion in the Professional Division, who developed Controlled Process Shooting, a system that addresses the mental side of archery and shot anticipation (or the dreaded target panic). In 2023, Joel's son, Bodie, smashed his way onto the world stage by winning The Vegas Shoot in the Championship Male category at just 15 years old.
