The sentence for Derek Chauvin was brought down, but does 22.5 years in prison seem like justice? The legal system has leaned to the side of execution when it comes to less crimes in the past; many a non-white person spending more time for minor marajuana possession. Justice feels different to everyone, but while this may be a good first step, it does not alleviate the problem in totality. George Floyd cannot restart his life, so where do we go from here?
