Episode 76: "Scratch the Itch" How to Handle Restless Energy

In the solo episode, I share my current realizations as I am taking eager action to make a change in my environment. I recognize that my home space has constantly been on the go since childhood moving back-and-forth between my parents, multiple colleges and relationships that have left me with feelings of restlessness to scratch the itch for change.

Restless energy is referred as a state of heightened activity or agitation, often characterized by an inability to stay still or focus. It can manifest as a feeling of restlessness, jitteriness, or a strong desire to move or engage in various activities. 

Here are 7 ways I channel restlessness for positive energy, as inspired by Deepak Chopra. 

  1. Create
  2. Dance
  3. Tapping
  4. Inquire
  5. Garden
  6. Clean
  7. Meditate

Hopefully these practices will help you next time you feel the energy to jump out of your skin, make an irrational decision, or possibly freak out. Know that you have what it takes to calm your body and still your mind to find peace within while also giving respect to what needs to move about within you and around you in order to release it back into this world.
