In Volume II of the mini-series The Best of the Bravest: Interviews With The FDNY's Elite, Mike Colon is joined by retired FDNY firefighter and author Dennis Smith as the two discuss Smith's eventful career fighting fires during the FDNY's "War Years" of 1964-1978, when fires burned throughout the five boroughs with disturbing frequency and arson for profit was king. Smith's experiences compelled him to write the now legendary 1972 book Report From Engine Co. 82.
