The Motley Fool says ... Good news for home buyers
An uptick in housing inventory could spell relief for buyers in a couple of ways. First, the more housing supply there is, the less of a disconnect there will be with regard to demand. And bridging that supply-demand gap could be just the thing to send home prices downward.
In fact, a big reason sellers are commanding such high prices for their homes these days is that many properties are landing in bidding wars due to a lack of inventory. If bidding wars become less common, that alone should send property values down toward more moderate levels.
Interest rates will increase soon by the FEDS. Do need a mortgage contact at www.SimpleMortgage123.net and ask for Randy Fritz | $750.00 closing cost on a purchase or refinance. This will be credited at the time of closing only. $750.00 off closing cost. Code (SM14EW-750)

Indianapolis Metropolitan and Hamilton County Suburbs are getting a lot more listings, inventories are here for home buyers. Years ago you would have tapper down in the late summer market when schools start in the midwest markets. The fear of Interest Mortgage Rates increasing gives sellers and buyers the opportunity to sell and buy a home before the impacted fixed rates increase with the Feds. News Housing Wire: As the Federal Reserve announced yet another 75 basis point interest rate hike Wednesday, loan officers and lending executives — already well aware of the news — were looking ahead, questioning whether mortgage rates will spike or dip in the aftermath.
Mortgage rates leading up to June’s Fed rate hike surpassed the 6% level as higher-than-expected inflation data triggered volatility in the market, which led to turbulence in mortgage rates. Since the Fed’s June interest rate increase of 75 bps, mortgage rates in recent weeks crept closer to 5.5%. *All mortgage rates are subject to lender qualifications- guidelines, current fico score, and loan to value (ltv).
Yes, the housing market is changing but at the same time, we are getting back into a market where buyers have more choices than they did compare a few months back or even almost three years ago. Think about this you have the opportunity to purchase a home and not pay thousands over the current asking price but at the same time, you pay a higher fixed mortgage rate. You actually may be in a better position this way compared to a lower rate vs. paying $20K or even up to 60K over the asking price. You can always be creative with your mortgage financing there are so many options. The new saying: Marry the house but Just Date the Rate. Consider other mortgage options like Adjustable Rate Mortgage (ARMS) you might have an opportunity to save. Our next few episodes will discuss mortgage rates and loan options and learn the information you need to know as a buyer and seller. Housing Market: There is no time for greed in this current market today when selling a house. Don't wait for over list price when selling your home. Feds are talking about mortgage rates increasing. With increasing inventory, the buyers have more choices. It's still a good seller's market. Buyers are changing purchase price goals because the interest fixed rates have increased. ★Greg Cooper COMPASS Real Estate reads the front page of the Wall Street Journal rates to increase. ★ Shelly Walters sells vacation homes on Sweet Walter Lake sales have really slowed down.
