In today's episode, Brittny chats with the inspiring Sarah Sweeney, M.ED, CCC-SLP of Sunshine Speech Therapy. Sarah is a board certified Speech-Language Pathologist, feeding specialist, and orofacial myologist. She founded Sunshine Speech Therapy in 2019, a private practice centered on providing speech, feeding, and myofunctional therapy to patients across the lifespan. Sarah’s passion for myofunctional therapy began when she had a client whose craniofacial development and tongue tie were impeding his ability to speak and she knew she had to get to the root of the problem to help him. She then discovered that her own child’s picky eating and sleep disordered breathing were caused by an orofacial myofunctional disorder! Sarah enjoys putting the “fun” in myofunctional therapy and pours her heart into making therapy effective and joyful.
