In a small valley just past Hermanus known for fine wines and fruit, horse rides and gorgeous dams- the veiled societal issues of poverty, illiteracy and alcohol abuse amongst those who worked the farms remained just out of sight and mind. That was until a spate of burglaries and assaults exposed the dark underside of reality with residents fearing that they would be the next ones to be hit by what or who was only initially known as the Phantom.

Then a young girl went missing. 18 months later, when all hope was almost lost- a shocking discovery would be made and with this revelation, the trajectory of two young girls’ lives would be forever changed. 

This story will enrage you. This story will break your heart. This story will open your eyes to the evil that lives amongst us.
