On the northern side of the north side of Isla Nublar (the other side of the other island) is a volcano that didn't exist until it was required to in the screenplay. That volcano, despite never showing signs of being anything other than dormant, suddenly exploded, destroying the legacy of Jurassic Park in one fell swoop. What's more? The death of the first dinosaur we see in the franchise, the Brachiosaurus. Burning alive before our eyes and wailing as the main characters look on.
