In Episode Twelve of The Tisch Rabbi Michael Rose Knopf invites us to join him in his weekly tisch at Har Zion Temple in Penn Valley, PA.
According to Rabbi Moses Cordovero, God looks for the goodness in all of us, even (and especially) when we appear not to demonstrate it. God focuses on the good we do, and not on what we do wrong. So too, we must be careful not to focus on the flaws of others. Rather, we ought to look past others’ shortcomings, and think of them in light of their positive qualities and their kind deeds.
