Researchers in Norway studied 22,000 women during the pandemic. They wanted to understand what happened to their menstrual cycles after they took the COVID-19 vaccine. They looked at women of different ages, including many who had already gone through the menopause. The study lasted for about nine months. Here’s what they found:
13.1% of women who hadn’t hit the menopause experienced at least one unexpected bleed after receiving a COVID-19 shot.
Half of those bleeds occurred within the first four weeks after getting the vaccine.
