As co-founder of Amahoro Africa Kelley Nikondeha was curator for the theological conversations among Africans and Westerners. With the Biblical text and African context in view, they explored economics, environmental matters, racism and reconciliation among thinkers and practitioners. At present, she the co-director of Communities of Hope, a community development enterprise in Burundi where she shapes the theological foundation of the work and pushes for deep congruence between the Biblical thinking and development practices.

Today, we are exploring her book Defiant: What the Women of Exodus Teach Us about Freedom. In the pages of this book, Kelley presents a fresh paradigm for women, highlighting a biblical mandate to join the liberation work in our world and helps us all learn how to proclaim salvation oracles.
