This is an overflow episode — the bonus conversation that didn't make it into our full episode on biblical boundaries to help you keep your peace. Consider this the extra sister-chat that keeps the conversation going.
In our main episode, we talked about the "gatekeeper" that decides what gets in and out of our lives. Here, we're diving deeper into the most common gatekeeper of all: humanism — letting the world around us, instead of Jesus, decide where our boundaries begin and end.
We get into the honest, relatable stuff: mom-group comparison, the pressure to bend our convictions to keep the peace, and a (very real) paper towel and spilled paint story that ended up being the perfect picture of why leaning on worldly wisdom instead of a firm foundation in faith only spreads the mess further — it never actually cleans it up. We also talk about how God takes the marks we're left with and redeems them into testimony.
If you haven't watched the full episode on boundaries yet, we'd start there first — this conversation builds right on top of it. But if you're here for the overflow, you're exactly where you need to be, sister.
This one's for any woman who has bent a boundary to keep the peace with someone else, only to lose her own. A short, honest follow-up conversation on what it really looks like to guard your heart.
We'd love to hear from you: what's one boundary you've had to fight to keep this year? Drop it in the comments — we read every one.

Do you secretly feel guilty when saying no? Discover how biblical boundaries can protect your heart and peace and transform your relationships according to God’s word.
As Christian women, we are called to love, serve, and carry one another’s burdens. Somewhere along the way, many of us started believing that being a good Christian means always saying yes, never disappointing anyone, and putting everyone else's needs ahead of our own. But when we look at Jesus, we see something very different. He loved everyone perfectly, yet he did not give everyone unlimited access to him. He withdrew, rested, prayed, walked away from crowds, and said no.
In this episode, we unpack the main problem many of us face: a lack of boundaries rooted in a fear of rejection, disappointing others, or looking for our identity somewhere else. We reveal how overextending ourselves can lead us to become our own idols, mistakenly thinking we are the source of everyone's answers when God is the only source.
We walk through what it looks like to guard your heart (Proverbs 4:23), why trying to be "the source" for everyone is its own form of idolatry, and how Jesus invites us to bring our burdens to Him first (Matthew 11:28-30). We also share four practical "don'ts" for building boundaries that actually hold — from protecting your immediate family to recognizing when outside voices shouldn't get the final say.
This conversation is for any sister in faith who struggles with guilt over protecting her time, heart, or family. You will leave with a deep understanding of how healthy boundaries act as gates rather than walls, allowing you to walk boldly in God's promises with the discernment of the Holy Spirit.
Let's grow together and step into everything God has for us.

We just came off our main episode, "Everyday Idolatry: The Idols Secretly Blocking Your Growth," and the floodgates have completely opened. This short overflow discussion is a raw, unscripted look at what happens when we stop and let the Holy Spirit truly convict our hearts. We had so many long pauses in our main conversation because we couldn't just plow through the depth of what God was revealing to us.
In this episode, we are diving straight into the minutia of why we allow hidden things to replace God in our hearts. We ask ourselves a heavy question: Has every "growth opportunity" or healing journey actually been a clever form of breaking idolatry? It is incredibly easy to slap a Christian label on our choices, call it "wisdom," and hide behind it for a very long time to avoid conviction. From idolizing top doctors for their status to over-analyzing material goods, social media trends, or holding onto a victim mindset out of comfort—idolatry is incredibly sneaky.
If you are a woman ready to move past superficial faith and step into true, patient obedience, join us for this quick bonus chat. We discuss how tracking what your mind analyzes the most will quickly expose the secret idols in your life. Let's stop being influenced by the culture and the algorithms, and start being truly influenced by the Holy Spirit.
Where is your mind going today? What are you spending the most time analyzing?

Ever wonder if the good things in your life have quietly become idols? We're unpacking everyday idolatry and how to surrender control back to God.
Idolatry isn't just golden calves and Old Testament statues — it's hiding in our health routines, our phones, our schedules, and even the good gifts God has given us. In this episode, we get honest about the moment a blessing turns into something we depend on more than we depend on God.
We talk through real, personal stories: chasing "optimal health" until it backfires, turning a hobby into a hyper-fixation, and getting lost in endless scrolling for information and answers. We dig into Exodus 20:3 and the weight of the first commandment, and we unpack Ezekiel 14:3 and what it means to carry idols in our hearts. We also talk about safety, control, comparison, and envy — and why even our fears and coping mechanisms can quietly take God's rightful place.
This conversation is for any woman who feels restless, anxious, or like she's always chasing one more thing. You'll walk away with a gentle, non-shaming way to invite the Holy Spirit to reveal what's really in your heart, and practical language — like "patiently obedient" — for surrendering control one step at a time.
Because here's the truth: God doesn't reveal our idols to shame us. He reveals them because He loves us too much to let us settle for anything less than Him.

This bonus conversation picks up right where our main episode left off. We're talking summer self-care for the Christian woman: the mind, body, and spirit resources we're actually using, why community changes everything in seconds (not minutes), and the app that's helped us replace scrolling with presence.

If you've ever picked up your phone to avoid something — a hard conversation, a hard feeling, a hard task — this one's for you. We get honest about the apps we open when we're avoiding life, the questions that stop us in our tracks, and why connecting with your people might be the most overlooked spiritual discipline of the summer.
In this episode we cover:
- The free screen-time app that delays our social media and asks us the one question we need to hear
- Why disabling distractions (instead of relying on willpower) actually works
- How a quick coffee, walk, or phone call with a friend can lower tension and reset your whole mind in seconds
- What it looks like to prioritize yourself as a homemaker without guilt
- Why we believe God makes time for the things He's called us to
This is for the woman juggling a new season, a full plate, and a desire to feel present again. You'll leave with one practical tool and one gentle reminder: connection is not optional self-care, it's essential.

This is our behind-the-scenes Christian summer check-in: the books, worship, and faith resources feeding our mind, body, and spirit.

In this check-in, we're pulling back the curtain on the books, worship, meals, and habits carrying us this season — no guilt, no perfect routine, just an honest conversation between friends.
We talk through what we're reading, the worship devotionals filling our mornings, simple whole-food meals and snacks, movement that actually feels good, and the songs and Scriptures we keep coming back to.
This one's for any Christian woman who feels like summer scrambled her routine and wants real, tried-and-true ideas — not another checklist. You'll walk away with new resources to try, plus a reminder that small, consistent choices are what shape who we're becoming.
Because here's the truth, friend: you were never meant to do life alone and one resource from a sister in Christ can change your life!

We just walked out of recording our Holy Spirit episode and something shifted. This is our raw, unfiltered overflow conversation about what happens when you finally stop separating God the Father, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit into three separate "buckets."
In this episode, we talk honestly about the expansion we felt after recording, why the Holy Spirit is often the most misunderstood member of the Trinity, and the real repercussions of leaving Him out of your daily walk. We dig into how the world rebrands the Holy Spirit's nudges as "intuition" or "gut feelings," and why that quietly robs God of the credit He deserves.
This conversation is for any Christian woman who has ever felt like her faith is compartmentalized, who wants a deeper, team-centered relationship with the Godhead, and who is ready to stop leaving gifts on the table. By the end, you will understand why you can't distinguish the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit once the momentum of walking with all three truly begins.
We also reference Ephesians 1:3-14, the passage that ties the entire gift of the Trinity together, and encourage you to read it in a few different translations this week.
What part of the Trinity has felt hardest for you to fully embrace?

Who is the Holy Spirit, and why does every believer need him? In our final Godhead series episode, we uncover who he truly is, not just a feeling, but a Person we're invited to walk with daily.
For weeks we've explored God the Father and Jesus the Son. Today we finish the Trinity by meeting the Holy Spirit: fully God, fully personal, and living inside every believer who has said yes to Jesus. If you've ever felt alone, unsure how to hear from God, or unsure whether that "gut feeling" was really him speaking, this episode is for you.
We talk through what scripture actually says about the Holy Spirit (Genesis 1:2, John 14:16-18, Romans 8:9, Galatians 5:25, 1 Corinthians 12:8-11, and Ephesians 1:3-14), how to grow in sensitivity to his voice, and how the gifts of the Holy Spirit show up in everyday life. We share the "dimmer switch" picture that changed how we understand our own growth, plus honest stories about learning to trust him with the things we hold tightest.
This episode is for any woman who wants to move from just knowing about the Holy Spirit to actually walking with him. You'll leave with practical, scripture-rooted ways to become more aware of his presence, and a fresh reminder that you were never meant to do life alone.
We'd love to hear from you: when has a "gut feeling" turned out to be the Holy Spirit leading you? Tell us in the comments.

Jesus never begged anyone to follow Him — He simply said "come, follow me," and people did. In this episode, we talk about what it looks like to stop striving and let God bring the opportunities instead of forcing them.
We also get real about something on our hearts: "Christian" influencers who are really just selling products — and how to tell the difference between a genuine heart and what we call the "Jesus pen." Plus, trusting God in a tight financial season, and how Jesus was tempted in the wilderness yet stood firm on scripture.
This one's for any sister who feels the pressure to perform online, in ministry, or in business. People matter more than numbers.

Who is Jesus, really? In this episode, we dig into the biblical truth of who Jesus is, why He came, and how surrendering to Him changes everything.

We're continuing our Godhead series by turning to the second person of the Trinity: Jesus Christ. Together we unpack scripture to answer the questions so many Christian women wrestle with — was Jesus just a good teacher, or is He truly the Son of God, the promised Messiah, fully God and fully man?
Using scripture like John 1:1, 1 Timothy 2:5, and John 15:5, we explore Jesus as the eternal Word, our mediator, and our example. We walk through the picture of Jesus as a bridge — the connection between us and the Father — and get honest about how shaky and uncertain that first step of faith can feel, and why it's worth taking anyway.
This episode is for any woman who has ever wondered if she's too far gone, too messy, or too late to know Jesus more deeply. If you've felt stuck in a "sinner saved by grace" mindset, we talk about what it means to become a new creation, walk in your inheritance, and live with real hope instead of striving.
By the end, you'll walk away with a clearer picture of who Jesus is, what He's already done for you, and what it looks like to keep taking one faithful step onto the bridge, together.
Next week we conclude our Godhead series with the Holy Spirit — don't miss it.
