Equipped to Stand with Sheri Yates

You need to Holy Spirit! You are powerless with him. I don't want to face this hard, broken life without the power and presence of God! Hopefully, you don't either. 

The Holy Spirit gives you GOOD fruit and is a deposit guaranteeing your inheritance. 

You are equipped to stand. Let's do it! 

Do you ever doubt your salvation? I have! Today, we are going to be SURE ONCE and for all! Amen!

The Holy Spirit is needed to live this life! In the Old Testament, the Holy Spirit could come and go, but not today. God sends his spirit to live in you. This is the only way to live equipped and to stand firm through it all. 

This gives us assurance that we are saved and cannot be taken out of God's hand.

Pray. Be silent for 3-5 minutes. Write down any images or words that come to your mind. Remember, we are practicing hearing the Lord. Even if you aren’t sure, write it down.

Anyone who loves their life will lose it, while anyone who hates their life in this world will keep it for eternal life. Whoever serves me must follow me; and where I am, my servant also will be. My Father will honor the one who serves me. John 12:25-26

The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance. 2 Peter 3:9

He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world. 1 John 2:2

What Happens When You’re Praying for a Miracle and You Don’t Get It?

Not a day goes by without many prayer needs. People are praying for miracles in their finances, their homes, their relationships. But it seems when we find ourselves praying for miracles of healing, it feels especially urgent—scary. Did you know that the medical field is now the number one business in our nation? We have huge opportunity to pray for the sick, but how should we pray? Why do we sometimes shrink back from asking for miraculous healing, even when we believe God is still able to work miracles?

Today we are going to talk about finding your comfort and stability in God rather than a person. If you put your faith in men, you will be let down, but God will never because he is not like man. I share a song by Misty Edwards. I hope you will listen to it.
