A friend invited me to Water For Ishmael's International Dinner and Culture Walk a few weeks ago. I'd heard of them and the event for some time but my first time attending already has me excited to be a part of next year's festivities.

What IS WFI!? Let's ask their ED Janelle Metzger, and Moriah Yates, that question and many more, including how they can pull off their work in what's unfortunately become a very anti-immigrant climate, not just here, but in many places across the globe.

Adam Cassi, from Keep Toledo's Lucas County Beautiful, and I have not caught up in a bit, and I had to cancel on him last week, so since he's got some work things going on I suggested we just record out catching up!

He's got Litter League, why many smokers are DOUBLE OFFENDERS, his home project bravery, the most incorrectly recycled items and much more!

A little later in the year than usual a TPD friend, Taylor Dungjen, is here to talk recruiting.

But after that, a widely discussed gang map she created in her former life as a Blade reporter, why DOES it lead if it bleeds, those police cameras in lots of places and their importance, and just how good Love On The Spectrum is.

Ella Langley may be the hottest thing in music and she's here this week. I can envision this being her last time here until her retirement tour because she will have become too big for the area and venue.

Also, use the shuttle, TDWP2 and a local on Jeopardy.

I apologize for the crappy audio.

Watershed Weekend! I celebration of the halfway point to the Riverwalk being constructed. I know, what does watershed mean and what's a river walk!?

A tweak to International Park, a bridge totally closed to traffic, a throwback skating party ;), and much more for the second weekend in June, with first time guest from the Metroparks, Scott Carpenter.

First, I've never seen that to the right of the decimal.

I'm reposting this for two people who seem quite interested in my Barry (my dad) stories.

There's definitely him coming home to me in the closet. The actual closet.

Perhaps me being on academic probation, and definitely running from the bus.

Um, enjoy!

My buddy Jodi Gross, Director of the East Toledo Family Center, is back to talk about a very big celebration they're having after 125 years. Why should YOU care about what they are!? She will answer that.

She will also explain why not only am I an honorary Eastsider, but I'm an official one! :)

Also an update on our dogs whom were adopted about the same time from the same place.

First, I can't believe more renters/people aren't out on the streets.

She will eat your food.

She will sleep in your bed, WITH your pets!

She will see an enormous amount of your private life that few are privy to.

She will also care for your cherish pets while you're away <3

92% of Ohioans support our libraries. You'd think they'd be the last place to be politicized and lose funding, but down is left and black is yellow.

Long time friend, fellow TED speaker, friend, regular podcast listener (thank you!), and Exec. Dir. of our award-winning Toledo Lucas County Public Library system Jason Kucsma is here today.

First, tolerance...perhaps.

We've dabbled with the issue of the potential of property taxes being repealed in Ohio, but let's have a much more thorough discussion about it with fmr State Rep and State Senator, and current member of the Ohio Board of Ed, Teresa Fedor, as she'd like to invite residents to an information event about the issue next Wednesday at PENTA. MORE HERE.

First, if the Pitt can do it, so can all other shows!
