There's not much that's funny about our immigration system at all, so please know I'm not making light of it here. I leave the sarcastic comedic criticism to the experts like Eric Lampaert - who - true story - is a citizen of three different nations due to the fact that he is an 'alien of extraordinary ability,' at least in the U.S. This sparked his Edinburgh Fringe Festival show of the same name, and is now being released as an album on Blonde Medicine, coming out November 9th.
