Welcome to Roadcase!!  Erika Wennerstrom has been performing in her band Heartless Bastards for close to 20 years now has recently released a gorgeous new album, A Beautiful Life, which she co-produced with Kevin Ratterman, in which confronts the challenges and nuances of the day within a truly innovative sonic landscape. A native of Ohio, Erika now calls Austin, TX home, and she talks about her early days booking her own shows, working hard and playing every gig she could -- which ultimately resulted in a chance meeting with Patrick Carney of The Black Keys and signing with Fat Possum Records!  Erika has been defiant in staying true to herself and considers herself "a songwriter that performs live." She has played countless shows and her tours with Drive-By Truckers are legendary.  Although the band was forced to cancel their January 2022 European dates due to Covid, she will be hitting the road again in February and April with Flaming Lips -- a unique combination of artistry for sure!  So hop on aboard the Roadcase bus and learn more about this thoughtful and one-of-a-kind artist, Erika Wennerstrom.  It's gonna be a great ride!!
