    In this episode, I am talking to Jakub Chlouba, my former colleague who just quit his job and went traveling and freelancing as a filmmaker & photographer. 🎥 📸✈️🌍


    Jakub is originally from the Czech Republic 🇨🇿. He had lived in Southeast Asia, Spain, and Switzerland where I have met him when I joined the same company Jakub was working for. 


    Jakub started filmmaking 3 years ago. His journey began on the beaches of Barcelona. 🇪🇸He was promoting parties when he decided to buy his first camera. With that, he also bought a one-way ticket to Sri Lanka and then to Bali 🇲🇾☀️🌊🌴and decided to succeed as a filmmaker. In order to build his portfolio, Jakub worked for free for a while.

    Later on, he moved to Switzerland 🇨🇭and began working for a blockchain startup incubator, while volunteering at different film sets and picking up advanced filmmaking skills. 🎞️📽️

    Today, Jakub is traveling around Europe with his girlfriend and enjoying creative freedom.

  • Why I Decided To Create This Podcast

    Have you ever felt excited about your new job, only to begin feeling bored after a couple of months and thinking about how to escape your dull daily routine?

    Have you ever asked yourself questions like these?

    Is this really all there is to life?

    Spending 5 days a week doing work I’m not passionate about, and only truly feeling free on the weekends. Or during those couple of weeks of vacation per year.

    Am I really going to spend the next 40 years working in different jobs that don’t fulfill me, only to look forward to retirement so that I can finally enjoy my life when I am old?

    If you feel stuck in your corporate job, the good news is, you are not alone!

    I believe that traditional education doesn’t teach us how to find and follow our life’s true purpose.

    In fact, I believe quite the contrary; it programs us for the “rat race” lifestyle – 9-5 job, buying more material things, and becoming more indebted, all whilst feeling trapped and depressed.

    That’s why I decided to interview people who left their traditional jobs and decided to pursue their dreams and happiness by going into entrepreneurship, by either joining a startup or becoming a business owner.
