We are so excited to bring you our recap of Episode 3 of RuPaul's DragRace Down Under and this time, WE BROUGHT FRIENDS. Escaping Reality fam, you know and love Stacey, and she's HERE to chat (finally!!). We are also so excited to welcome Agie and Stacey's friend from college Jessie! She's an AVID DragRace fan and joined us to share her feelings about this new season of DragRace. 

Episode 3 is all about the SONG CHALLENGE and we're looking back on past DragRace songs and breaking down the beautiful episode this week where the queens wrote verses for and performed "Queens Down Under." We're loving on Maxi Shield and fighting with the judges about their critique of Elektra Shock. We're also giving an ode to "old school drag" and discussing the differences between DragRace seasons of the past and now. We also loved, loved, loved the revelation about Elektra Shock's life (and her dance studio) and the support she got from the other queens. There's a lot to unpack in this episode, and having four of us on the pod def made the episode long. ENJOY.

The ✨audacity✨ of RuPaul and Michelle Visage to give us "Snatch Game" on episode 2. We're honestly still recovering. That being said, wow what an episode.

We're breaking down the entire episode and, let me just say, we had a LOT to say. We start with a discussion of how every queen is bringing a different type of drag to the table, so how can the judges actually compare them and then we ask if we think Michelle, Rhys, and Ru are going to be the only judges all season. We see you, Australia, being very COVID-conscious. 

We also discuss the role of 'Australian humor' (and its differences from American humor) in the reception of Snatch Game as well as our impressions of each of the queen's performances. We are squabbling with the judges on their critiques of the kind of unprecedented BOTTOM SIX and giving you why we think it was maybe a little aggressive. We also gab about our love for Anita Wigl'it and her hilarious work as Queen Elizabeth II. And, then we discuss the lip sync and a SHOCKING elimination.

The first official episode of RuPaul's DragRace Down Under came out this week and Nick and Agie are breaking down the entire thing for you! 

We're talking the difference in ~sparkle~ between DragRace in the US vs. Down Under and breaking down all the drama these queens are stirring up immediately. We have some poignant moments and confessionals from queens talking about their experiences with both weight and race. Shout out to JoJo Zaho and Kita Mean for being so vulnerable with us as viewers ❤️.

Escaping Reality Fam -- we appreciate you all so much as we are transitioning into our summer full of fun Survivor and RuPaul's Drag Race Down Under content. That being said, we had a member of the pod out with her fam this week celebrating her sister's graduation (we miss you Stacey) so we don't have a true Survivor "episode" this week but rather an audio version of our Instagram Live from 2 weeks ago. We're so excited to do more of these in the future so ENJOY listening back to our reflections on watching 40 seasons of Survivor and starting a podcast in the middle of a pandemic. We did that. And y'all helped!!

In this episode, you'll hear us literally cheers to watching all 40 seasons and talk about what we learned along the way. G'day Escaping Reality Fam! Are you so excited to join us on a new journey in conjunction with Survivor? I hope so because we are so excited to be able to watch a show in real time with you and discuss. And, you guessed it, we're starting with RuPaul's DragRace Down Under, airing on Wow Presents+ starting on May 1st!

In our first episode, we're looking at the trailers, the Q&As with the queens, and their published promo looks to bring you our thoughts on these 10 exciting new queens. We're giving you a peek into our background with DragRace, our favorite queens/winners of the past (our DragRace 'herstory' if you will) as well before we dive into the "episode".

Escaping Reality Fam -- can you believe that we made it to 40 seasons? We're out here watching 40 seasons in a year. Thanks for coming on this journey with us, let's dive on in.

We're using this episode to give justice to every single winner and dig deep into our feelings on almost every single one who played (we're looking at you Adam Klein, narrator extraordinaire). At the end of the day, we loved getting to celebrate this seminal season as a beautiful retrospective of 20 years all wrapped into one season. We talk about the arguments for and against fire tokens, as well as our thoughts on the improvements to Edge of Extinction (tl;dr: it's the people). 

We're truly obsessed with this season and really have quite a lively debate about the final 3 deliberations and the criminal under-appreciation of Michele Fitzgerald and her gameplay. We also talk about the Cops-R-Us alliance finally making their alliance work. And, whether or not the jury was actually rooting for Tony or if they thought Sarah could win, but was foiled at fire. We've also got all our normal segments including "Fans Have Spoken," Honorable Mention (we each pick one), #JeffneedsaVibeCheck, and Rapid Fire.
