Essential Astrocast

We’re in the midst of eclipse season with the September 7th Lunar Eclipse behind us and the upcoming solar eclipse on September 21st ahead of us. This week the Sun and Mercury dive into the South Node encourage us to continue to release, clean out, and surrender. Sometimes this can manifest as intense exhaustion or an energetic hangover - all to be expected as the moon wanes after a lunar eclipse. What is unusual is the out-of-bounds state of Pluto in Aquarius! We haven’t experienced this since the 1950s and its historical significance can certainly be felt in the collective at the moment.

Fortunately, we have some helpful, clarifying, and healing transits coming to our aid. Mercury will meet the Sun this weekend offering us a dose of clear thinking. Soon thereafter Mercury will oppose Saturn inviting everyone to slow down, pause, take a breath, and think it through.

On Monday, September 15th, Venus and Mars will be harmoniously connecting while they both make aspects to Chiron, the wounded healer. You might find that this eclipse season unveils the perfect moment to have some healing conversations with your partner, a friend, or even yourself.

Eclipse season often brings the subconscious into our conscious view. If you’ve been having an intuitive hit that something has to change you might be making those changes over the next few weeks. The first of two eclipses arrive on Sunday when the Full Moon in Pisces occurs near the North Node of fate. The interplay between Virgo and Pisces archetypes has us surrendering the spreadsheets and going with the flow. Allow yourself to be open to adapting your rituals and routines so that you feel in alignment with your highest good.

Happy Virgo Season! This week I kick off the episode with a deep dive on Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s engagement, brought to you by the Jupiter return! 

This week Venus was opposite Pluto and you might be in a power struggle in your relationships. With Saturn retrograding back into Pisces, you may have more interest in reflecting on all the wild energy of the summer. I wish I could tell you that the chaos will dissipate, but with eclipse season upon us, I recommend re-committing to the rituals and routines that ground you physically, mentally, and emotionally. 

The best use of Virgo season is resetting our habits, so take advantage of the support the Sun and Mercury are offering in this sign of systems and preparedness.

Uranus has officially entered the chat! Uranus has been in Taurus since 2018, but on Monday the change-making, pot-stirring, rebel of the zodiac moved into Gemini where he will be until 2033. This is the last piece of a puzzle coming together that will have a profound generational impact. Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto are forming a harmonious minor grand trine known as the 'Magic Triangle' from now until June 2028.

Last week was all about Saturn's move into Aries and this week is all about Jupiter's move into Cancer. With Jupiter wrapping up his yearlong transit through Gemini we may be gathering some final messages and pieces of the story we've been missing. Saturn has officially crossed the threshold into Aries. Saturn in the sign of the warrior will have us evaluating our relationship to authority, responsibility, and even failure. Saturn isn't the most fun planet, but his presence in Aries might be just the kick you need take the first step on that passion project of your dreams.
