If everything is ok for me, my loved ones and the world such that I can satisfy every need of mine, with maximum security in every aspect of human existence and with no uncertainties about the future will I still serve God the way I do now? If God is incapable or unwilling to help/save me in my needs will I still serve him the way I do today? What is my true motivation in serving God? What is my real disposition towards the will of God? TODAY'S HOMILY centres on understanding our true nature in order to elicit from us the right disposition towards God's Word. Please listen to the podcast. TODAY'S HOMILY IN BRIEF. Saint Augustine asserts that "the soul of man is restless until it rests in God". This dictum played out so strongly in the life of Mary Magdalene that even in death she sought to remain in the company of Jesus. What is the nature of your relationship with Jesus Christ? Do you still long for and work to have his company even when he is in the grave (when all hope is gone? When he's silent about your needs? When he appears defeated? When he seems to have failed you? etc). May you never loose the company of Jesus Christ for a moment even in the most perilous moments of your life through Christ Jesus our Lord. Amen.
