eTown Time Capsule 2003 - Altan / Chuck Prophet

Listen Later

We’re continuing our ‘listen back’ to eTown’s 2003 season this week with a full show from that year, featuring two exceptional musical guests: from Donegal, Ireland, the band Altan, once dubbed by The Wall Street Journal as “the preeminent Irish band in the world;” plus one of the most talented songwriters around, Chuck Prophet. Nick chats with Ross Haenfler and Brett Johnson about their book, “The Better World Handbook.”  And the award segment this show is one of Helen’s absolute favorites: it’s a classic eChievement story about the creation of an incredible community garden in one of the poorest neighborhoods in New York. We speak with its founder, this week, in eTown.
