The series "Great Victories of the Bible" concludes with a look at the final battle of all time - the defeat of satan. At the very end, one final battle between good and evil will occur and death and suffering will finally be ending. While the time leading up may be difficult, we can rest in knowing that God will gain the victory.

Guest speaker Ren Wallen, discusses the meaning of Pentecost. The prophecy from Joel to the last words of Jesus before the accession bear witness to the importance of the event. The coming of the Holy Spirit and the endowment of boldness is needed even in the persecutions of today.

The Sunday school lesson continues with the series "Great Victories of the Bible." This week looks at the victory of King Jehoshaphat in 2 Chronicle 20. The nation was being surrounded by the armies Ammon, Moab and Mount Seir. Jehoshaphat as a leader sought God and prayed publicly before the people. In his prayer he prayed "we do not know what to do, but our eyes are on you." He confessed their need for God's help and focused on him to provide deliverance.

Elijah On Mt CarmelSunday June 18, 2021

False idol worship had invaded the land. God working through Elijah made a stand on Mount Carmel against the prophets of Baal. After that confrontation, the land remained dry. Elijah prayed for rain, and God sent rain and ended the famine. We are reminded through this victory that the prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective when ordered according to God's will.
