Pastor concludes the Soil Samples Series with a look at the “Good Ground.”

The Adult Sunday School lesson begins a new series titled "Great Victories of the Bible." Joseph was sold as slave by his brothers and was destined for a life of obscurity. Instead, from the dungeon to the palace, Joseph was able to organize the resources of Egypt and save the lives of his family and the land of Egypt. Despite the negative odds, God was able to keep his plan and take care of his own.

The adult Sunday school series continues with the saying "I am vine, you are the branches...every branch that does bear fruit he prunes so that it will be even more fruitful..." The passage is a call to be fruitful, with the "fruits" of the spirit. Doing the commands of God is how we show love for God, by living by his commands. This is a process of continual development and trimming off that which hinders, as we move forward toward Christ.
