Recently Alistair Begg advised a woman to attend her grandchild's wedding to an impossible woman, on the condition the grandchild knows what she thinks about it, and to buy them a gift.
Why would someone who has taught the Bible for decades offer counsel such as this? What on earth is going on with him? How could someone get to the point where they think such advice is wise and godly?
If Begg has been one of the best and most rock-solid ones we've had, what does this say about conservative evangelical pulpits in general?
