Evelyn Hartley disappeared while babysitting for a family in La Crosse, Wisconsin. Her father became concerned when she didn’t answer his calls, so he drove to the house and found Evelyn’s shoes, broken glasses, and pools of blood, but not his daughter.

In the 2000s, new evidence came to light that implicated several men. Unfortunately, because so many years had passed, the authorities were unable to talk to most of them.
