Even More Mashed-Up

It's found both popular and critical acclaim but how do Allan & Patrick feel about Black Panther: Wakanda Forever? The film closes out Phase 4 of the MCU, but does it do anything to resolve the muddled results of the films since Avengers: Endgame? Does it do justice to both African and Indigenous communities in its depiction of Wakanda and Talocan? And how do we feel about Namor's ankle wings? These--and other questions--will be answered in this week's episode!

It's a little bit late, but...Happy Halloween! Patrick finally managed to scare up the time to watch What We Do in the Shadows (well, some of it!) as Allan has been haunting him to death to do for so long it feels like an eternity!!

Do we smell what The Rock/Dwayne Johnson is cooking in Black Adam, the latest film from the troubled DCEU? Where does Black Adam fall within the pantheon of superhero films? Do we continue to languish in the "post-peak-superhero" era? The answer to these questions and many more you may or may not have been asking await!

The latest MCU Disney+ series just wrapped up its first season, so it's time to judge if She-Hulk: Attorney-at-Law is held in contempt or if we decree it a success! Witness as Allan & Patrick play judge, jury, and executioner (well, maybe not that last one) on the show's guest stars, treatment of gender and feminism, and narrative choices! The jury's out until Even More Mashed Up renders its verdict!

Technical difficulties may have delayed us this week, but nothing can keep us from talking about the first batch of episodes in Star Wars: Andor! We talk about this gritty and deeply political take on the Star Wars universe as well as the cannibalistic tendencies of Ewoks!

Is season one of Netflix's Sandman a dream or a nightmare? Join us as we talk about the show, the comic, the show versus the comic, and whatever else we can dream up as we try to answer that question!

It's time for "Back to School!" We're back on campus and talking about this past year's breakout hit, Abbott Elementary!!

After a long hiatus, the show is moving back into the studio to be face-to-face. Unfortunately, with Rich living in another state, this also means that he will no longer be running tech for the show.

Expect him in the future as a special guest on certain topics!

The third film from Jordan Peele offers a subtle look into the exploitation of Hollywood and how we view our relationship with animals.
