Three Malaysian students did us 'proud' recently when they behaved disgustingly while staying at a guesthouse in Osaka recently. The video of them arguing and being extremely rude to a staff member went viral, and sent netizens into a tizzy after it was revealed that these students defecated in the shower! We don't think about it but the music industry plays a huge part in generating a country's economy. For Malaysia, the industry contributed between RM5.5 billion and RM6.1 billion to the GDP per year, and as a result created between 75,000 and 83,000 job opportunities per year too. These findings are based on the Economic Impact Study of the Malaysian Music Industry; a first-time study carried out by the Recording Industry Association of Malaysia, in collaboration with PwC. We often associate firemen with their big red trucks, saving cats from trees, and fighting fire of course. But the intensity of the situation in which they brave deadly flames to save lives is never fully realised until we're exposed to news footage of 9/11, or the recent Grenfell Tower tragedy in the UK or in recent local news of houses catching fire here in the Klang Valley.
