Tonight, we had a man who throws down lines and rhymes for a living, all the way from sunny North California, it’s Kenny Hughes aka Radio3000!
It all during high school when his passion for music got him on airwaves already with his early track, Ease The Pain. Soon after, he headed off to Hollywood and studied the intricacies of the music business while at the Musicians Institute, Los Angeles.
From then on, he went all around with doing opening acts for the likes of Stevie Wonder, Brandy, T-Pain, Tina Marie, Keisha Cole, Chris Brown, Mario, and B.O.B just to name a few. When 2007 rolled by, he performed on TV for the first time for BET’s Spring Bling. A year later, Radio3000 landed a six-month contract to perform in Singapore.
As the man’s popularity heightens in 2009, Radio3000 dropped his track Lah onto the Singaporean public and never looked back. His song became a national hit, some even calling it a national anthem. He soon went back to the States where he proudly stayed at #1 for RnB charts for websites like Reverbnation and MySpace.
Since 2012, Radio3000 found even more TV success with appearances in The Voice, Candy Girls and more. Coupled with a few contracts that lead him to perform in Bali, Jakarta, Abu Dhabi and Dubai, Radio3000 knows how to roll his chances. Currently, Radio3000 is the executive director for 2Deep Entertainment. In terms of his music, Radio3000 just released a new single featuring our local boy, SonaOne and H-ROC; titled Nervous.
For the record, Radio scored 11!

Tonight, we had a man who’s infectious laughter and wit as a stand-up comedian kept him on morning radio for a long time, it’s none other than Malaysia’s biggest comedian, Papi Zak.
When it comes to Papi, biggest is also a literal form of what he is when he belts out jokes on stage. Always starting with his trademark “Don’t be fooled with this accent, I’m 100% Malay” opening line, Papi was a child of a diplomat where living abroad was his life. Born in Egypt, raised in Germany and Japan. He studied in America which were he picked up the accent.
Malaysia called him and in 2003, he settled back down here. Upon the recommendation of his comedic hero, Harith Iskander that prompted Papi to pursue stand-up comedy. Starting off with open mic nights at The Actor’s Studio in Bangsar, Papi honed his skills of making audiences burst into laughter. In 2007 he performed alongside Malaysia’s premiere trio of comedians; Jit Murad, Douglas Lim and of course, Harith Iskander for Harith Iskander’s Eh… Got Free Ticket Ah?
Soon after, Papi started performing throughout Malaysia. From shows in KL, Penang and Sabah, Papi has became one of Malaysia’s most wanted comedians. He is also a Creative Director for his own production house, Jo Mama Productions , working with major clients. Papi also was the host for Joanne Kam’s Super Kam 3: It Gets Wetter. To catch Papi live, he is this week’s Crackhouse Comedy Club’s headliner.
For the record, Papi Zak scored 16!

Tonight in our TTON studio, he left the world of advertising and came back with an impeccable string of successful nightlife spots dotted all around Kuala Lumpur, he’s none other than Roen Cian!
Roen started off by studying Advertising and Marketing in University of Canberra. He came back to dive deep into the world of advertising with big names like NagaDBB, Grey Worldwide and Moet Hennessy Diageo Malaysia. After a decade’s worth of experience and lessons, Roen decided to leave his well-paying salary for a bigger challenge, being a player in the F&B industry.
His start was being one of the co-founders for TTDI’s popular Tom, Dick and Harry’s bar in 2009. But things got up to a higher gear when him and childhood friend, Dax got to get together at an empty bungalow in Damansara Heights and kickstarted their empire of nightlife spots. By 2010, The Hill at Damansara Heights was quickly gaining traction in the KL nightlife scene.
Things were going well for the man as The Pool at Jalan Ampang was opened in 2012. Although 2013 saw the closing of The Hill, resources were pulled together, headquarters were shifted, an investment of RM10 million later, The Roof at Bandar Utama was launched in mid-2013 reminding everyone that Roen is now one of the big guns in the industry.
Not resting on his laurels, Roen has two new projects; one is Life Juice Co. A new health food company that does cold press juices, smoothies and organic elixirs. And inspired by his passion for football, Roen setup The New Camp in Bandar Utama, a 3 acre sports complex boasting 2 FIFA approved 3G astroturf football fields. As the cherry on top, last month, he became an ambassador for Adidas.
For the record, Roen scored 14!

It was announced yesterday that the English subject will not be made a compulsory pass in 2016, a reversal of the initially announced plan by the Education Ministry. Apparently more time is needed for both teachers and students to prepare. On Talkback today, we're asking: what are your thoughts on the matter? Do we need more time, and if so, how much time do we need? Our lines will be open.

Tonight, TTON’s range of guests just got bumped to another level. We had the famous Kelantanese street-fashion photographer; Ridduan Ismail! Or better known as Tukang Tangkap Foto Gembira Anda (TTFGA).
Ridduan was born and raised in Kota Bharu. He went off to study Advertising and Design in a community college in Malacca. The course introduced him to multimedia, photography and photoshop. Soon after he graduated, he was doing wedding photography until he met local fashion photographer Bibio Aswan. After seeing his work, he knew where TTFGA needed to go.
As for international inspiration, he looks up to Juegan Teller, Terry Richardson and Steven Klein. Notes Juegan as his favourite due to his raw photography style. TTFGA notes that he likes watching MTV music videos just to see what the artists would wear.
Earlier this year while on a trip back to Kelantan, he was caught by the flash floods. He turned to his photography to document the turmoil of what Kelantan was going through. After posting it up on his Instagram, his photos got traction and were highlighted by mainstream media soon after.
Recently he shot a campaign for Super Sunday titled THE SUPER SUNDAY / SOVL 2015 BY TTFGA and last week he covered the 2015 KL Fashion Week.
For the record, TTFGA scored 10!
