  • 18: Being Part Of A Family Story with Angela Weedon
Podcast Episode 18: Being Part Of A Family Story, an interview with Angela Weedon, is on the blog today!

Angela Weedon and her husband Matt have been capturing the families of Dallas for over 16 years.  Angie always shoots, while Matt is on the business side- working with the clients before and after the session, and also assisting in sessions with small children.  Before starting their portrait business, they worked as scuba instructors, where they got to travel the globe photographing the underwater world. After a successful few years of marketing Matt’s underwater imagery, they settled back in his hometown of Dallas and changed gears completely with their photography style. Angie’s knack with kids and a love of the darkroom helped them to launch an all black and white film family portrait business. Soon her focus became newborn photography, which back in 2000 was a rare novelty. The specialty helped to make her work recognizable among many high-end Dallas families.
Through the years their work has certainly evolved from the black and white film days, but they still pride themselves on creating a one of a kind experience for the families they photograph. These days their business also has them traveling the US to photograph families from Boston to California.
Capturing the love and joy of each family, while always creating the highest quality tangible products from a session, are always the goals. In a time when many photographers sell only digital files, the Weedons give the clients what they ultimately most desire- heirloom quality portraits and albums that will be passed down for generations.  See their website here.
