Not a bad Olympics. I call John “Mr. Olympic” because he always has a smile on his face and loves to talk about the Olympics like me. John talks about his Olympic records, the new Mixed 4x100 m medley that is debuting at the 2020 games in Tokyo, and how we can get a virtual training session with Olympians & Paralympians for FREE. Thanks to our friends at Ready, Set, GOLD! Which is a non-profit community health and fitness program that promotes healthy and active lifestyles to children in Southern California schools. And since the pandemic, they have gone virtual with their lessons and you can take part for FREE by signing up at readysetgold.net

Naya didn’t start playing rugby till her freshman year in college at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill on a club team. And she was so good that US National Team tried to recruit her right there and then. But there’s a big difference between a college club team and the US National Team. This is her story, from college club athlete to one of the best women’s rugby players in the world. With her eyes set on Tokyo 2021, this is an Olympic journey you won’t soon forget. This week on the podcast mother and daughter Olympians Rosalyn and Breanna Clark. Rosalyn is a 1976 Olympic silver medalist in the 4x400m relay. Breanne is a 2016 Paralympic T20 gold medalist in the 400m. (T20 is a disability sport classification for disability athletics in track and jump events. It broadly covers athletes with intellectual disabilities.) Breanna has autism. This is an amazing journey spanning 4 decades. From Rosalyn’s qualifying for the 1976 Olympics in the 400m, an event she only started to run that year. To Breanna qualifying for the 2016 Olympics in Rio after not having run competitively in almost 2 years. For “Team Clark” where there's a will there's away. With their eye set on Tokyo 2021, this is an Olympic journey you won’t soon forget. As always ...Thank you for your support.

This week on the podcast I had the pleasure to sit down with not 1, not 2, but 3 members of the US women’s national softball team going to Tokyo in 2021. Cat Osterman, Delaney Spaulding, and Monica Abbott. It has been 12 years since Softball has been an Olympic sport and I can’t tell you how excited I am that it's back.

Thank you to USA Softball for helping set up these interviews during their “Stand Beside Her” tour in Irvine CA on March 8th. Little did we know at the time that this would be the last stop on the “Stand Beside Her” tour for the Spring of 2020 and that the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo would be postponed till 2021. So you will hear references to the Olympics coming up this summer and some great stories of these three ladies' journey to making the 2020/2021 US Olympic Softball team. As always ...Thank you for your support.

To being diagnosed with cerebral palsy and being told if she did not walk by age 7 she never would. This is a story about beating all the odds the doctors put in front of you. And then fighting more just to compete with her sister in the sports she loves. All on her road to the 2020 Paralympics. As always ...Thank you for your support.
