Her goal is to use art as a method to heal, leave a lasting impact, and make room for people who are often not seen. Mbayi is passionate about building awareness around refugees and immigration and giving back to her local community. As an educator, she loves to inspire kids to dream big and become ARTIVISTS! YASMINE is a multiracial-multitalented-multihyphenate who has parlayed her role as the lead singer of GroupChat, a Chicago-based funk fusion band, into a solo career as an R&B and pop artist.
