Schools are places to learn, make friends, and discover the world around us. However, some schools in the United States can’t afford the books or technology that students need to learn. That’s why today we’re talking about educational equity.
This week, we talk to Tiffani Tores and Sophie Mode, who are part of youth-led organization Teens Take Charge. They saw that the people in their city with the most money had access to better education, and are now working hard to make sure that everyone has equal access to the education they need. Host Naomi Wadler walks us through what inequity looks like and Correspondent Alejandro Alba explains the goals of educational equity, and how you can help in your community.
