Season 3 - Episode 13 - A Tribute to Taylor Hawkins (Foo Fighters)
Even though EPILID is technically on Hiatus, we'd be remiss if we didn't honor the late, enigmatic drummer of the Foo Fighters, Taylor Hawkins. Taylor joined the Foo Fighters in 1997 after playing with Alanis Morrisette on the Jagged Little Pill tour, a job he earned with his work with Sass Jordan. Taylors presence in the band was quickly felt both on recordings and playing live. The unofficial 2nd frontman of the Dave Grohl led outfit. Taylor recorded 8 albums with the Foo's as well as with many side projects like Taylor Hawkins and the Coattail Riders, Birds of Satan, Coheed and Cambria and more.
Taylor passed away in his hotel room in Bogota, Columbia March 25th, 2022 just hours before the band was set to hit the stage. Shocked fans sang along to Foo Fighters music being played over the PA while holding an impromptu vigil at the concert venue as well as outside the hotel where Taylor was staying.
Taylors impact on Rock music, his inspiration to drummers new and old world wide and his larger than life persona will be forever missed, however his legacy will live on eternally. Rest in peace Taylor.

Season 3 Episode 11 - The Return of Wonky Tonk
Wonky Tonk is an incredible artist blending her Kentucky roots into rock, folk, pop and even experimenting with hip hop to make something truly wonky. We are excited to welcome Wonky Tonk back to EPILID as we discuss all of the incredible creative endeavors she has in store for 2022 including new music, a book, her ever expanding Patreon and her quest to find the one and only Bill Murray!

Season 3 Episode 9 - Planepacked
It's a great week. Jessica Kagan of Planepacked stops by to chat about the upcoming album "Transactinides" being released April 8th. Planepacked is a full on assault of Metaltronica and the new album is shaping up to deliver more than ever before. To bridge the gap between 2017's "Critical Mass" and the new album, a standalone single was just released titled "War Song." This song is unique as not only is it the first to feature Jessica on vocals, it also loudly denounces transphobes. Jessica and I unpack the elements of her music, discuss what got her into metaltronica, being a member of the LGBTQIA+ community and a whole lot more.
