For this week’s rendition of the pod, Cameron nearly forgets how to start an episode, Jake goes on a soccer tangent, and Sarah declares her distaste for a particular type of sandal.

We figured our chaos could use a little more organization, so here we present to you our first themed episode! Slang (a slang word meaning “short language”) is the highlight of this episode, though it may be the lowlight by the end of this. You tell us.

Featured amongst typical antics, Jake shares some Gen Z slang knowledge, Sarah shares some regional dialectical word differences and Cameron shares an alternative to The Cameron Windup.

Somehow, despite being two seasons into this whole podcasting thing, Cameron, Jake, and Sarah start this episode by absolutely whiffing on the clap that syncs the audio recording with the video recording (if you haven’t already, make sure to check out the Every Word Is Gross YouTube channel).

Once they get themselves sorted out, Cameron shares news that ISN’T a baby, Sarah lets us know she’s sensitive to the smell of earwax, and Jake describes his favorite way to antagonize his sister in the car.

Happy Mothers’ Day! Cameron, Jake, and Sarah take a moment to appreciate their mothers and share their Mothers’ Day plans before plaguing the ears of mothers around the globe with the scourge that is the English language.

The episode starts with Jake forgetting his word and his phone, and then getting shamed for not talking loud enough. Sarah gives a crucial tip for keeping your kitchen less brown. Cameron laments the fact that Netflix doesn’t not have the full catalogue of Brooklyn Nine-Nine seasons.

Cameron, Jake, and Sarah jump right into the deep end to start this episode with a technological and philosophical conversation about pictures. They also pick some words and fair warning: they’re gross. Interspersed between those picks, Cameron tries to claim he’s never licked cheese, Sarah goes on an *unsettling* tangent about beans, and Jake hangs out with ya boy Clif.

We hope your ears are hungry because season two is here! All three hosts are in the same room again which they celebrate the best way they know how - by linguistically grossing each other out.

Jake leads off the episode by recounting his near-disastrous trip back from Florida, Sarah reveals the name of the voice in her head, and Cameron divulges the details of the time he was (kind of) on jury duty.
