Everybody Loves LolaJudy Umstead has been an animal control officer for 20 years so saving and caring for animals are her passion.Last year when she was diagnosed and treated for cancer, she decided to do something she always wanted to do but had put off. She wrote a children's book about her beloved dog Lola. The story follows the journey of a naughty, little Labrador retriever who got into trouble and had to find a new home. Then she found her home with Judy who had faith in her that she was really a good dog, and how she became a wonderful therapy dog. She visits hospitals, schools, assisted living facilities and even goes on TV! Then she became a Police Comfort Dog for The Town of Watertown where she has her own vest, badge and ID.She continues to go wherever she is needed and that why....
