  • Going Inward to Find Your True Self with Patrick Marando

What does it mean to find your true self and actually live from there? In this episode of Everyday Awakening, I sit down with Patrick Marando for an honest, heartfelt conversation about turning inward and the quiet pull that guides us home to ourselves.

Patrick shares his experience of feeling like an avatar in his body, and the awakening that came after: a moment of nothing, and then everything. Together we explore what happens when we stop resisting and let that subtle inner pull live through us.

We talk about how every emotion lives in the body. We also get into practical ways to find stillness in the middle of chaos, and what awakening looks like in everyday life: living your truth, moment by moment.

Patrick is an author, spiritual teacher and psychologist from Sydney, Australia with over 20 years of experience. His spiritual teachings revolve around bridging the gap between spirituality and psychology using his studies in Zen Buddhism, Taoism, Non-Dualism, New Age philosophies and modern psychology, and focus on living from a state of truth. His book Waking Up to Your Self launched July 2024.

If you've been longing to feel more at home in yourself, this conversation is for you.

  • Being Okay with Yourself, All of It with Brea Segger

What does it mean to be truly okay with yourself, all of it? In this episode, Brea Segger and I explore what it means to understand ourselves more deeply and what it looks like to bridge two worlds.

We talk about choosing to sit in the hard stuff rather than move away from it. That depth of okayness with ourselves is what lets us meet another person in the same space. When we allow everything to be there, we find that thoughts come and go, feelings come and go, and neither has to define us. As we open, we get to know the spaciousness that we are.

    Awakening is beingness.

Brea Segger is a mentor, retreat facilitator, writer, and host of the podcast Beneath the Story. Her work explores leadership, self-trust, relationships, and what it means to build a life that feels authentic and our own. Through mentorship, retreats, writing, and conversation, she supports people moving through life's most meaningful transitions.

This was a very rich conversation, and I hope it opens something in you.

  • How to Communicate with Loved Ones on the Other Side

What if your relationship with a loved one didn't end when they died? In this episode of Everyday Awakening Catherine shares how she lost her mother while a world away — but a promise they'd made meant the connection didn't end there. A squirrel that won't look away. Leaves that seem to breathe. Signs, she says, aren't coincidence — they're the world talking. In stillness, she finally hears her mother's voice: It was exactly how it was meant to be. We explore the gifts we all carry — clairvoyance, clairaudience, clairsentience — and why they only surface when we're quiet enough to listen. Her message: we are not alone.

  • How to be the Light with Suzanne Giesemann

I sat down with Suzanne Giesemann to talk about what it means to live from the soul, that place of light, love, and oneness with all that is.

Suzanne shares the fundamentals of living from our base state: pure being. Everything else, sensations, thoughts, feelings, is just an overlay, like clouds passing across a blue sky. In the space between stimulus and action, that's where your base state lives. That's where you are the light. Everything is energy. The question becomes simple: do I feel clear, or do I feel burdened? We also explore a question so many of us carry: What if we can all connect with the other side? Her answer — we can.

Suzanne Giesemann is a spiritual teacher, author, and medium, named to the Watkins' list of the 100 Most Spiritually Influential Living People. She's published 17 books, 7 Hemi-Sync recordings, and her YouTube videos have reached over 20 million viewers. She produces the Awakened Way app and hosts the Always Connected podcast.

I hope you enjoy this conversation as much as I did. It was pure joy.

  • Healing through Hypnosis with Jonathan Robinson

What if we could heal faster than we think possible?

I sat down with Jonathan Robinson, past life regression hypnotherapist, to talk about the healing journey. Jonathan shared how we carry stagnant energy in the body, and how hypnosis helps us tap into it and release it. In these sessions, we touch on our past lives, the wisdom stored deep within us, and the innate healing that's always been there. We can raise our vibration. We can live a soul-filled life. Jonathan has learned, through his years of practice, that people's most meaningful moments almost always come back to family, to gathering, to celebration, to being together.

Jonathan is a certified hypnotherapist and past life regression practitioner who has helped hundreds of clients worldwide unlock their potential, release subconscious blocks, and access deeper states of awareness. He's passionate about this work because he's watched so many people move into deeper layers of the subconscious mind, and come out the other side with clarity, confidence, and a renewed sense of purpose.

I hope you enjoy this lively conversation, where we unpack what it means to heal.

  • Trauma Is Not The End Of The Story with Tom Glaser

Tom Glaser lived through an abusive childhood. It shaped him — until he looked inward, until he healed. Our bodies hold what happened to us. And we can still heal. We can learn resilience. It takes awareness and consciousness. It takes the courage to look inward, find your voice, and live an aligned life. Trauma is not the end of the story. It's a lifelong journey — toward a full heart.

In this episode, Tom shares his own raw, lived experience — the foundation of his life's work helping others heal. His latest book, The House That Resilience Built, is a deep dive into trauma, resilience, and what it actually takes to heal.

Tom is a licensed psychologist with over 40 years of experience helping people heal, grow, and reconnect with their innate resilience. He's also a lifelong meditator, a yoga teacher, and the author of two Amazon bestselling books.

I hope this conversation moves you the way it moved me.

  • Living Fully for Today with Larkin McPhee

What does it mean to truly live when you're facing death?

My guest today, Larkin, walked beside her brother Charles through his battle with ALS — and learned that death is just another doorway to walk through. Charles met his illness with a faith so deep it was palpable, and a zest for life that never dimmed, even as his body did.

A lesson to all of us on how to walk through the next doorway.

Larkin's new book, I'll See You in My Dreams, tells their story — a sister and brother finding meaning, humor, and grace inside the hardest goodbye. We talk about what he taught her, what she carried forward, and what it looks like to stay fully present with someone you love as they're dying.

Larkin is a Peabody and Emmy Award-winning documentary director, producer, and writer with over 30 years telling human stories — on mental health, the environment, science, and the quiet resilience of ordinary people. Her acclaimed PBS work includes Depression: Out of the Shadows, Dying to Be Thin, and Caring for Mom & Dad. She's built her career at NOVA, National Geographic EXPLORER, and Smithsonian World — and now she's turned the camera on her own family's story.

  • Growing Hope with Dr. Robyne Hanley-Dafoe

Hope isn't a feeling you wait for. It's a practice you build.

My guest today, Dr. Robyne Hanley-Dafoe explores the neuroscience, psychology, and resilience research behind hope — and why it may be the most underestimated skill we have. Dr. Robyne draws from her own story of childhood institutionalization and a near-death experience to show how hope can be held even in the hardest places. Her latest book, I Hope So, is born from her lived experience.

We explore the relationship between hope and trust, and what it really means to grow more resilient — not by returning to who you were, but by becoming someone who can carry more. Grief changes us. It's not something we get over; it's something we learn to carry. And hope is how we learn to carry it.

Dr. Robyne Hanley-Dafoe is an award-winning psychologist, education behaviorist, and two-time TEDx speaker with over 18 years of university teaching and research experience. She is known for making complex science feel personal and usable — delivering insight with both rigor and heart.

What gives you life right now? What are you allowing yourself to hope for?

  • Where the Divine Finds Us

What does it mean to truly be here — not just in concept, but in body, breath, and presence? In this episode, Catherine explores the practice of returning: from the busy, chattering mind back to the stillness that lives beneath it. Using the simple anchor of the senses — what you see, hear, and feel right now — she guides listeners into the quiet truth that we are not our thoughts, but the space in which they arise. Woven through this reflection is a personal story: her 98-year-old mother's hospitalization, and the moment Catherine caught herself at the edge of fear — and chose a different path. One that could hold grief and hope at the same time.

This is an episode about presence as practice, and about the deep, quiet knowing that arises when we stop thinking our way through life and start meeting it.

    You are the light.

All is well. Even now. Even here.
