More and more employers are considering remote and hybrid environments, so I sat down with Hanna Capell from Amazon Web Services to talk about what it’s like working remotely and how she manages her work-life balance.
Hanna Capell graduated from college in December of 2020 and jumped straight into a position as an Associate Account Executive at Amazon Web Services (AWS) based out Seattle Washington. The catch? She would have to work remotely from the start and the temporary arrangement is quickly dragging into a full year of her employment.
However, working remotely hasn’t been a negative experience for her. In fact, she’s enjoyed the experience a lot, preferring it to being in-office, and she’s not the only one. Many employees across the globe have found remote work to be a more desirable alternative to returning to their offices. In my conversation with Hanna we broke down her experiences so far and some things employers should consider moving forward.

As the Toledo Community gets back out and socializes after an especially long year, there is much to look forward to. There’s a classic summer staple like the Marathon LPGA Classic, but there’s also the Solheim Cup. It’s bound to be a summer to remember.
Judd Silverman is the Executive Director of the Marathon LPGA Classic, a summer golf staple to the Toledo Ohio Area community. He has a strong history of working in the golf industry and in leading the Marathon Classic in particular.
Judd has worked with an abundance of people to make the tournament possible each year. 2021 marks a remarkable accomplishment for Toledo in particular as we will be hosting the Solheim Cup, a large tournament held every other year between American and European teams. Welcome to our new monthly schedule of the Everyday Solutions Podcast!
*This episode was recorded prior to the CDC's May 2021 recommendations concerning vaccinated persons. Advice and information provided is centered around the SARS-CoV-2 testing of LabDX and of the personal recommendations of its CEO based on business trends occurring in relation to health and safety measures relating to the virus.*
With the rush back to in-person work and events, safety is still a large concern regarding the virus that has plagued us for over a year. Business owners and leaders have a responsibility to provide a safe and clean environment, no matter what kind of business they run. We sat down with the CEO of LabDX to talk about they can do just that.
Humberto Buniotto is the CEO of LabDX, a technology-driven laboratory currently specializing in SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) testing. Humberto got started in software development originally before eventually working his way over to the position he’s in now.
We brought Humberto on to clarify questions regarding the reliability of COVID testing, the difference between methods and types, as well as when testing is appropriate. Currently, the company specializes in testing and providing safe solutions for companies.
