  • ECOTR Costa Rica Wrap-Up
Rick and Jean give a wrap-up of their adventure in Costa Rica.  EC on the Road is off to a most awesome beginning.  Hear some of our raw impressions.  The trip continues to integrate and we are still receiving insight from our time in the land of Pura Vida!
Special thanks to our hostess, Rosemary MacGregor, and the staff at The Mango Tree Villas and Spa.  They filled our stay with love and care.

We also give special thanks and big love to Scott Kennedy and his amazing product SeaVeg.  This trip would not have been possible without the incredible healing Jean and Rick have both personally experienced with the assistance of SeaVeg.

Also our second travel recommendation, ater the divine Mango Tree Spa, is our lunch spot along the coastal highway.  We had fine food and a great time at Bar & Restaurante Leche Agria.

  • Pura Vida Everyday
Pura Vida is perhaps the most often heard phrase in Costa Rica, almost a National Slogan, but what on Earth is Pura Vida?
Pura Vida is a special outlook on life. It is a philosophy that states that happiness is found in the simple things, in the manner in which one perceives life, how one relates to the world and values the details on a day-to-day basis.
So you can see that Pura Vida could be the slogan for Everyday Connection.  Outlook, perception and choice are what we are all about.  This afternoon's guests:
Rosemary MacGregor CRN, MS, our host at The Mango Tree Spa, is an absolute treasure.  Rosemary is a CRN, has a Masters in Psychology, and is proprietor of this amazing space.  She is an expert on breath and has spoken around the world on breathing.
Rosemary is owner and protector of this beautiful space.  She has an amazing facility here and it is obvious that the natural surroundings are at the topp of her priority list.  We at Everyday Connection have nothing but respect and appreciation for that!

Please visit her site and then come to the Rain Forest, you will be really happy you did!

We may also have some surprise guests, but this is Rosemary's spotlight!

Billy Best was a national sensation according to the front page of the papers in 1994 because I ran away from home to escape my chemotherapy treatments. Because of the media attention My family learned about ways to treat cancer besides chemo, radiation and surgery. I used a combination of diet, detox, and a therapy from Canada called 714-x and was cancer free two months later. Author of The Billy Best Story: Beating Cancer with Alternative Medicine.

  • Debbianne DeRose - The Writer Girl
Debbianne DeRose specializes in honest, humorous explorations of all things "woo-woo"---that is, metaphysical, mystical, spiritual, paranormal or New Age-y---with intent to empower and entertain.  She’s the author of a hilarious memoir, "What I Did On My Midlife Crisis Vacation" and the fun, practical Law of Attraction primer for single gals, "How I Met the Man of My Dreams: a Guide to MANifesting Yours."  Oddly enough, she was formerly formally trained in the Conservative Arts of engineering and economics, and enjoyed stints as enginerd, database geek, non-profiteer, bricolage artist and inadvertent house flipper before diving headlong into the world of woo-woo wordsmithery.  Debbianne resides in the San Francisco Bay Area with the Man of Her Dreams where she can swim regularly in the seas of woo, buoyed always by her Jersey girl sensibilities and sense of humor.  After all, there’s nothing serious going on here. Please visit www.debbianne.com for thought-provoking, giggle-inducing angles on this magical universe thingy we live in.

  • Rich Novek - Rich “IN” Christ
I started out very early in my walk with God by reading a lot of books by many of the "deeper life" Christian teachers.  After reading the accounts of these men I developed a desire for knowing God that was far beyond the level of anyone I saw around me.  It was during this time a good friend and mentor prescribed to me the following prayer; He said to me, Rich, if you really want ALL that God has for you in this life then just pray this prayer. "Lord, bring me to the end of myself and give me a revelation of who I am IN Christ!"  That was in 1983.  And as I prayed that prayer for the next 3 years God was more than faithful to take me up on my request.
I stopped praying the prayer after three years, only because the trials became so intense I saw no possible way that I could continue.
After many years of waiting on God and because I saw the trials as coming from the hand of a punishing God and not a loving Father, I became completely disillusioned with anything having to do with God.  So in 1997 I walked away from everything having to do with God, the church, Christianity, or the Bible...or at least I thought I did.  I went right back to my pre-Christian "70's" lifestyle, which included drinking and carousing.  By the time I went through my divorce in 2001 I was so beaten down I had to look up six feet to tie my shoes.
It was during this lowest point, where I was living only for myself, that God revealed to me the two foundational truths which over time, would completely transform the way I would forever look at God, myself, and others.
And so after a lifetime of trials, testing's, brokenness, and pain...I NOW have only one desire, which is to share this same powerful revelation of Christ IN us with as many as is humanly possible.

  • Dawn Bramadat - Sexuality in Spirituality
Born in Trinidad of Indian and Irish-Scottish descent and Canadian for now
over 50 years, I traveled extensively to study and trained in many of the
world’s spiritual traditions. I’ve practiced and taught oriental and traditional
medicine for 40 years and raised and home-schooled 4 amazing children.
My family and I are guardians of Heartroot Farm in Quebec, Canada
(www.heartroot.com), a place of respite and refuge on 240 acres of mostly
woodland at the northern end of the Appalachian Mountains on the border
between Quebec and Maine, where we teach and live Earth-based spirituality.
In these times of transition, I’ve also been called to specific places on the earth
where I often work with others to clear imprints of bloodshed and violence
from the past, facilitating the birthing of a new planetary consciousness.
An ever greater part of my work has become the sharing of my experiences
(and the teachings that come from them) via the written word, with the
intention of encouraging others to listen to their guidance, no matter how
crazy they have been trained to think this is…. (I also find this easier and more
ecologically responsible than flying around the globe to teach workshops,
although I am thoroughly Sagittarian and love to travel!). I have written for
several magazines over the years, and work as an editor and translator as
    well… www.dawnbramadat.wordpress.com
I’ve been called teacher, guide, Grandmother, healer, witch, midwife, shaman,
    Earth-speaker and troublemaker….Take your pick…

  • Nancy Gosse
    Nancy in her own words:
I am a woman not so different from any other. I understand what it means to experience pain, loss, confusion, and frustration of seemingly repeating patterns; of feeling the weariness of trying to do better while that elusive dream still hovers just beyond reach. I also understand the joy and peace that emerges from deep inside of one's soul when we are able to surrender to the flow of life and allow a pure honest look into who we really are... loving, beautiful, and Divine Creations!
I am a lesbian woman; spiritual, insightful, gutsy, courageous, gentle yet strong and powerful. I am also insecure at times, emotional at times, confused and frustrated at times, and sometimes, yes, even very depressed about what seems to be a hopeless situation for what humanity is experiencing. I also see the deeply inspiring shift in consciousness that is emerging in a new humanity that is taking ownership and responsibility for our co-creations. Having mostly been a philosopher, quiet, and in many ways a loner, I now find myself at a place of feeling ready to experience closer connections to my fellow spiritual travelers and sharing in the knowledge our conscious evolution into the universal human. My life has been an experience of heartfelt connection to my surroundings and a deep resonance with the awesome healing that nature offers.
Along with the wisdom that has emerged from my own healing journey, I bring to you many years of professional experience as a Counselor, Mentor, and Healer in areas of mental health, sexuality, addictions, abuse, and inter-personal relationships.

  • Stephan Coutts - Stephan's Mirror
    My Journey, by Stephan
In the rain forest in Kauai I realized that for humanity to have an age of enlightenment, we need to self love. If people could see their own beautiful Divine soul essence and purpose, they would self love. In that moment I started dreaming the seemingly impossible dream... of creating a mirror of ancient technology so powerful, that it's reflection could bring it's viewer into the presence of their Divine Soul and Divine purpose... a viral Internet app that could accurately read millions of people a day and wake-up humanity from it's deadly slumber. Dreams do come true, standing on the shoulders of the giants!
