Everyday Connection

Kristopher Harrison is a Philosophy student of University of Toronto. In November 2011 he and 11 other people started MediaWrench.org. Since then it has slowly grown, and has been conducting interviews with some of the key people in today's grassroots movements. On the side, MediaWrench has done some promotional and charity work, in an attempt to document and preserve the ideas that seem to be gaining traction in communities across north america. Currently, MediaWrench is growing in popularity, and is always looking for good writers who need a place to present research into sociological and grassroots issues. As of now Mediawrench consists of less than half its original membership, but still maintains a degree of consistency in its output, and content.

MediaWrench's humble beginning took place in the camp of the Toronto Occupy movement's Media Tent, upon the resolution of the camp itself, MediaWrench.org was created to give an unadulterated portrait of current issues, and to a lesser degree, to show that the mainstream media as it is currently, is too big, too slow, and obsolete as a means of staying connected to reality.

We've worked with protesters, helping to promote and document their events, also we've compiled interviews and video for court cases against police brutality. We've helped raise money for orphanages in Kenya. We've even had one of our videos screened in a Harvard classroom

Have you ever rolled over, hit the snooze button, and wanted to blow off work—forever? Nadine Hays Pisani did just that and quickly found herself fording crocodile infested rivers and bribing border police. It wasn't what she expected but even while jumping out of bed and tossing stinging scorpions into the air, it was still better than a day at the office.

It turned out becoming a Central American diva was harder than it looked. However, changing one’s life is never easy and she refused to give up on her dream that happiness existed somewhere outside a 9 to 5 job.

Happier Than A Billionaire, published July 3, 2011, was profiled on CNN.com and has recently been reviewed in the March edition of the Howler Magazine. Nadine Pisani has been quoted in Fodor’s Costa Rica 2012 Travel Guide, interviewed by Natalie Sisson, the Suitcase Entrepreneur, and featured on Savannah Buffett’s show Expats.

Happier Than A Billionaire is currently number one on Amazon in two categories: Costa Rica and Central America, and competes with Into Thin Air by Jon Krakauer daily for the first or second position in Travel & Adventure.  She has since published her second book, Happier Than A Billionaire: The Sequel.

The author is a writer for the following websites: We Love Costa Rica, Escape Artist, and the Costa Rica Star.  She has a popular blog where she shares her adventures as well as maintaining a large presence on Facebook, Twitter, Google+, and Tumblr.

Nadine Hays Pisani lives in Costa Rica where you can find her riding on the back of a scooter, exploring deserted beaches, or trying to woo a family of monkeys over to her side of the street..

Charles Leslie Gilchrist showed marked artistic talents at a very early age, drawing and painting constantly. His artistic career really began at the age of four, as he was already convinced of his life's path.

His formal art education began at the age of 11 (1951). He was the youngest student ever taken by Genevieve Ingram Frickle, a well known portrait and landscape painter, living, working and teaching in Wichita. She developed his natural drawing talent and taught him to see as an artist.

Charles' journey has led him to many places and careers from truck mechanic, racing engine builder, commercial photographer, graphic artist, and fine artist.

In 1972, Charles reentered the Cleveland Institute Of Art and, while working full time as a commercial photographer by day, graduated from the night school program (1977) majoring in Intaglio print making. Through his studies, Charles discovered the classical concepts of open-eyed meditation and began to create Mandalas as a path to self discovery.

Charles (now back in Cleveland) continues to produce volumes of work in mutable media including Mandalas and photography. He is collected by numerous patrons. One of his most extraordinary commissions (1996) was for a group of 48 paintings (Mandalas based on sacred geometric icons) which are hung in the new headquarters building of the company "Corporate Express," located in Broomfield, Colorado.

In september 2007, Charles launched his first Video Workshop on Sacred Geometry, choosing YouTube to introduce his understanding of Mandalas and Sacred Geometry to the world in video form.

My Journey, by Stephan

In the rain forest in Kauai I realized that for humanity to have an age of enlightenment, we need to self love. If people could see their own beautiful Divine soul essence and purpose, they would self love. In that moment I started dreaming the seemingly impossible dream... of creating a mirror of ancient technology so powerful, that it's reflection could bring it's viewer into the presence of their Divine Soul and Divine purpose... a viral Internet app that could accurately read millions of people a day and wake-up humanity from it's deadly slumber. Dreams do come true, standing on the shoulders of the giants!
