With the holiday hustle behind us and the dark winter days ahead, it’s natural to feel less productive and more drawn to rest. Amy explores how our bodies are biologically designed for lower energy during this time of year, making it completely normal to feel a bit off track with goals. She offers gentle encouragement for embracing these slower seasons, giving yourself grace, and allowing rest without guilt. Remember, there’s still plenty of time to achieve your goals this year, and taking time to recharge is part of the process.

  • 9| Holiday Recovery for Moms- Supermom Short

In this mini-episode, I am sharing my tips and tricks to debrief and recover from the holidays for the moms who make it all happen.

I am experimenting with having these shorter episodes in addition to my long-form interviews with amazing Everyday Supermoms. I would LOVE your feedback. Click HERE for a quick one question survey about whether you like the shorter episodes. I am going to try them out for a month and see how it goes.

Here's the tips from today's episode:

    1) Celebrate, rest and recover.

    2) Debrief the events- do a post-game analysis of what you liked or didn't like. What do you want to repeat and what do you want to avoid.

    3) Give yourself some downtime- no need to rush to get the house back to pre-holiday status.

    4) Be slow to return to routine. Rest more, schedule less, give yourself some grace!

    5) Create a holiday notes file and then set a reminder in November of 2025 to review the notes and make the changes you want to make to that next holiday season you have even more to celebrate!

Share this episode to any mama you know who could benefit from a holiday debrief.
