Because I'm so busy, I had to throw away three months of recordings I made for podcast episodes and start over...again.  There was no way I could make up the difference and in future episodes of Everyday Tracks, I'll explain why.

Computer problems have caused me to rethink my scheduling, but it allows me to be better able to make things happen anywhere and everywhere I go.  As I'm typing this, I'm producing podcasts at the radio station at the college.

Jeep talk about the radiator, transmission and the front seats.

I had been dealing with Jeep Death Wobble since replacing the wheel hubs in November.  I figure out what causes it and how I fixed it.

I bought an Angry Eye grille for the Jeep.  It does look very nice, but it doesn't fit.

Continuing with the special feature of my police academy experience.

As I'll explain in another podcast episode, I got rid of the DR-07 that I've had since 2009.  In this episode, I try to quieten the noise and wind coming into the microphones so I can have cleaner audio.

I met another Californian who moved here.  Much like the rest, it became too expensive to live where she was at and she wanted more.  Find out what she had to tell me.

I tuned my drums again.

Two special features in this episode.  I find another city to move to that will provide me with a stable paycheck high enough to live in the city I would work in.  Also in this episode, another part of my police academy experience.

You'll know by listening to the intro what this podcast is all about.  As of the typing of these show notes, my production computer suffered an unknown problem and unusable until more time is granted to me to diagnose the issue and eventually, fix it if possible.

Special Feature: My Law Enforcement/Police Academy Experience, Part 1

I took a break last week so I could produce this special episode.

I've used the TASCAM DR-07 for many years to record podcasts and other things, but it was aging and not very gracefully.  I had been holding it together for years.  It's time to something else.

In this episode:

• Vintage radio promos and announcer lines

• It's more difficult when the wires and cable I'm using to record this are too long to use while mobile

• Included mics (2 channels, one for each), 4 balanced audio using combo XLR or TRS (using one each), Line-in (one for left and one for right) and USB (2 channels).

I have about two months worth of content that hasn't hit the editor yet and about three produced podcasts waiting to post, but I wanted to take a little time to break in with a programming note of sorts with a very short podcast.  The next show is gear-related.  You'll want to listen to this because you're not going to believe the quality.
