Have you thought you were literally going crazy since a loved one died? You're not alone! Learn how grief changes the brain and things you can do to improve.
Grief is Much More Than an Emotion
You may think that grief is a single emotion, but it is actually a powerful, multifaceted, and often uncontrollable response that human beings experience following a personally painful or traumatic event, such as the death of a loved one. Grief can affect us not only emotionally but also physically, mentally, and even spiritually. While difficult and often painful, grief is a normal and necessary response to the death of a loved one, and most people will see a reduction of grief-induced physical effects with the passage of time.

What do you do after a best friend dies? This week we talk about friendship: challenges, rewards and were to start on the journey of making new friends.
Losing a best friend is so hard, but it is never too late to make new connections.
If you're short on time:
One of the things that we struggle with as adults after the death of our friends is what to do next. Do we approach their death with a philosophy of ‘it is better to have loved and lost’ or do we wade back into the friendship pool and look for a new best friend? Charlie’s third half segment addresses how to make friends as an adult.
Making new friends can be an uncomfortable process, time consuming, and uncomfortable. Making friends becomes even harder as we age. This week we talk about friendship, particularly making new friends after the death of a best friend. We feature a recipe for friendship cake, an interview with Chris, a woman coping with the death of her best friend.
Check out the webpage for links to our resources, the recipe and more content!
