Brittant's brother had been and addict for as long as she can remeber. She shares how it affects her family dynamic. She also shares how hard it is to always worry when the phone rings. Her raw emotion in her story, shows how much addiction affects everyone in the family.

Kat grew up in a small town where addiction was not talked about and hidden behind closed doors. After her Mother tragically passed from drinking and driving when she was 18 she realized that there was secret generational addiction on her maternal side. She never really thpught of herself as an addict herself because she did not drink everyday nor did it affect her life negatively. During the Pandemic she had someone threaten to leave her if she did not quit drinking. At first she got sober for someone else but now its for her. She is almost 3 years sober and has broken the generational cycle. She is a very strong and inspirational women.

My guest is annonymous due to the nature of our converstaion. He is still in active addiction, after years of trying different ways of finding sobriety. He shares his trauma and ups and downs. We both talk very candidly about our addictions and what it was like. He plans on going to rehab and I wish him the best on his new journey.

Prune grew up with a mother in active addiction. Her childhood was a struggle but she never gave up on her Mom. Everyone else turned their backs on her Mom she got closer, trying to always make sure she wass okay. She is the most caring and empathetic person I have ever met. Her story is a true story of love. Her story is powerful and needs to be heard.

Kyle had an knee injury and was prescribed opiates. The doctors never educated him about how addictive the medication is and never helped him taper off. So eventually when the doctors ended his prescription he became so sick with withdrawals he turned to the streets to find the medication. He eventually after 8 years of heavy usage had a heart attack, which led him to sobriety.

Rob was bullied and felt alone until a "friend" came along and eventually offered him weed. He used it because he did not want to go back to being lonely. He then fell into the crowd that liked to party. At first everything was good, he had gotten what he had been dreaming of friends and parties. Then addiction reared its ugly head, and he tells his story of how he found sobriety.

1. Brittany loved someone in active addiction. Met him an the young age of 16, they hit it off right away and were together for years. They had their first child and split after a few years. After a few years they just could not be apart and got back together and had another child. She thought they were a happy family until her world cam crashing down.
