Happy New Year! Before we get to the new format going into 2021, we need to finish 2020. On this episode, Jay and Rob complete the era of Brian Michael Bendis’ run on Young Justice with Young Justice #18-20. While the run has had its ups and downs, Jay and Rob talk about the missteps and the series as a whole. But with 2020 behind us, the guys also talk about what you can look forward to in 2021, including the books that they love. The end and the beginning start right here!

The last episode in our summer break series is here. Rob and Jay return to the 2019/2020 run of Young Justice, but little did they know when this was recorded back in June that the book would be canceled. What makes it more interesting is that even back then the guys could sense that the series was in trouble. So dig in and join the guys on the journey of what happened to the team.

Has it really been three months? Jay and Rob dust off the cobwebs and once again bring Young Justice back. Since there have been a number of issues of the current series now covered, the guys do a two-part series called the “The Bendis Dump” where they cover all of the books they haven’t covered to get caught up. For the first round, they look at Young Justice #10-12. Strap in as we have a lot of ground to cover as a year later we finally learn if the team can find their way back to Earth-Prime, but there is a lot to unpack.

For the beginning of the year, despite this episode being recorded last year, we present a commentary track for the first two episodes of the Young Justice animated series. The two reminisce and discuss what they thought about the series when they first saw it. We hope you join along as Jay and Rob watch YOUNG JUSTICE!

Young Justice #9 from this year is the topic of discussion this time around for Rob and Jay. This issue features the origin of Teen Lantern, but did she really hack the lantern or were there other circumstances? The current changes to Superman that Young Justice writer, Brian Michael Bendis is currently making along with the possible initiative at DC Comics to change the landscape of the DC Universe is discussed as well. Maybe the Young Justice team is better off in the Multiverse, because they may not recognize their world when they return!

Episode 11 comes down to one word, Drake. That’s not only what the episode is about but the issue we are covering as well. Young Justice #8 (2019) will go down in history as a collective sigh. Not one of relief, but as a question of why they needed to do it. Now that we are a couple of months past the initial reaction, Jay and Rob go through the issue to see if their original reactions hold true or if they have changed. It’s madness on Earth-3 for the boys and the team.
