An article in the Daily Mail has given me the heebee-jeebees today bring my biggest fears to the forefront of my thinking. I took the opportunity to sit down with my 83-year-old paternal grandmother and ask her about her life growing up, how she met my grandfather, what my father was like as a kid, successes in building a business. This experience is something I would suggest everyone to do. After knowing my grandmother for 43 years I found myself learning such fascinating stories about her and what life was like over the years.

On this 4th of July episode my friend Mike & I sit down to breakfast at Big Biscuit and have a conversation about his views on civilians thanking veterans for their service. Mike is a former Marine & Army Reserve Iraqi War combat Veteran. He makes a point and the important thing about his point is that it's from his perspective. I think everyone can learn something today from that perspective. You may disagree with his perspective but I believe its important for everyone to at least listen to his perspective.
