On the 15th of January 1947, an innocent young woman was walking down South Norton Avenue with her daughter when the discovered what they initially thought was a mannequin.
However, this was no mannequin. What was discovered was the mutilated and discarded body of Miss Elizabeth Short.
More widely known as the ‘Black Dahlia’, the murder of Elizabeth Short is listed as one of the most infamous unsolved cases in the world and to the day, the killer is still unknown.
